AirWatch Secure Content Locker, the enterprise-grade mobile content management solution, was the star of the show at AirWatch Connect Barcelona during Mobile World Congress 2014.
Enterprises’ mobility strategies are moving beyond the basics of providing secure access to email, calendar and contacts. For many organizations, extending content sharing and collaboration to mobile devices is a natural next step. Secure Content Locker is AirWatch’s encrypted content container that gives employees access to enterprise content on the go. Documents, which are stored in the cloud or on premise, depending on the organization’s preference, open in an encrypted container that protects them from data loss.
Just before Mobile World Congress, AirWatch announced that Secure Content Locker now integrates with a long list of content management systems, so organizations can keep the systems they are already using and leverage Secure Content Locker to extend access to mobile. And at AirWatch Connect Barcelona, EyeVerify demonstrated its upcoming integration with Secure Content Locker, which will let users unlock the app using eye vein verification.
During his keynote, AirWatch CEO John Marshall reviewed other recent additions to AirWatch’s content portfolio, such as the advanced version Secure Content Locker Collaborate, which lets users create their own file repositories, edit and annotate files from their mobile devices and collaborate in real time. Marshall told attendees to expect continued focus on mobile content management from AirWatch in the year ahead.
