AirWatch Browser v4.0 for iOS, available now in the Apple App Store, looks a little different today. Here’s the new icon:
Inside, the app feels more like a consumer browser, with intuitive features that users will recognize from the native browsers on their devices.
First up is an improved menu design. Icons that were once near the URL bar have moved to a new bottom menu bar. At the top, dynamic Menu and URL bars automatically hide when the user scrolls down and reappear when the user swipes up.
Users can now manage tabs in the top or bottom menu bar – by swiping between tabs at the top or using the tab management icon in the bottom menu bar. In AirWatch 7.3 and greater, users can also configure friendly names for predefined bookmarks.
As before, administrators can drive all mobile browsing through AirWatch Browser, whitelist IP addresses, define use policies, disable copy/paste and printing, require downloaded content to open in AirWatch Secure Content Locker and proxy access to internal resources through the AirWatch Mobile Access Gateway.
