The evolution of the mobile market and employees’ demands for user-friendly devices led Groupe BPCE (BPCE), France’s second largest banking group, to migrate from BlackBerry devices to multi-OS devices. To comply with the banking industry’s rigorous regulatory requirements, BPCE’s IT leadership required an enterprise mobility management (EMM) solution to grant these new devices secure access to the corporate network, internal applications and work emails.
Having identified data loss prevention and network security as a critical priority, BPCE deployed an EMM solution to provide employees with secure remote access to corporate resources, while allowing BPCE’s four banking entities to apply variable security policies depending on their business requirements. “AirWatch best meets the needs of the four entities of the group in terms of safety, installation and configuration,” said Hervé Le Loët, head of fixed and mobile telephony and multimedia at BPCE. “The solution offers the same services regardless of the technology used, and innovates at the same pace as operating systems change.”
Following BPCE’s successful mobility project deployment, mobile device adoption in the organisation has increased by a staggering 30 percent. Building on this success, the banking group now evaluates the possibility of developing a BYOD program to allow employees who sign up for it a secure access to corporate resources.
