Today at AirWatch Connect, keynote presentations will highlight how to manage Windows 10 devices with the leading AirWatch Enterprise Mobility Management platform. AirWatch launched Windows 10 support on the first day the software was available, and today AirWatch is revealing even more ways customers can support all devices running Windows 10.
The new Windows 10 features AirWatch customers can take advantage of today include:
- Azure Active Directory integration to enable simplified onboarding experiences for company- and employee-owned devices. Azure AD join allows devices to be automatically enrolled into management by AirWatch, and can be initiated through the Out of Box Experience on a store bought device without the need for assistance from IT. To support BYOD initiatives, end users can add a work account to enable simple and secure access to organization resources.
- Bulk provisioning options to enable IT to easily configure a general purpose device without the need to re-image for organizational use.
- Support for Win32 and Universal apps to deliver even more applications from a single, unified EMM platform.
- Device management policies to simplify device configuration and enable secure access to company resources. New policies include native email configuration, advanced VPN configuration including per-app VPN, enforcement of security settings, device functionality configurations and much more.
- Health Attestation including device posture from the hardware to validate boot integrity of devices. AirWatch will also support compliance integration for Health Attestation and other new features, to ensure that only devices in compliance with corporate polices have permission to access corporate resources.
- VPN advancements that include on demand per-app VPN to allow organizations to specify which applications can be run on a VPN. To further increase security of the VPN, administrators can restrict the remote access of applications to limit them to a specified list of ports and IP ranges.
- Passport for Work to help secure user identities and credentials. Administrators can enable policies within AirWatch to create gesture requirements including PIN strength and biometric permissions, as well as require Passport certificate enrollment to TPM hardware.
- Application restrictions to ensure only applications signed by trusted publishers have permissions to run. With AirWatch administrators have full capabilities to whitelist and blacklist msi, exe, dll or store applications.
- Native mail configuration to provide enterprise-secure emails in the consumer-simple native inbox client.
- Kiosk Mode to lock devices into a single application for line of business use cases such as a point of sale, or a product catalog.
- Simplified Certificate Management to deploy certificates using Personal Information Exchange (PFX) in addition to support for Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol (SCEP).
