We are excited to announce that AirWatch has received one of the most prestigious privacy honors in the business mobility space, the International Association of Privacy Professional’s (IAPP) “Most Innovative Privacy Technology” award. IAPP honored AirWatch for its protection of user privacy through the AirWatch Privacy First program.
The HP-IAPP Privacy Innovation Award for Most Innovative Privacy Technology recognizes one organization annually that integrates privacy into solutions to elevate consumer trust and serve as a competitive differentiator. IAPP, the largest and most comprehensive global information privacy community, selected AirWatch based on the level of innovation, depth of adoption and integration of AirWatch Privacy First.
“AirWatch is committed to protecting the privacy of our users, and today’s recognition from IAPP is a major validation to our efforts,” said Noah Wasmer, vice president of Product Management and CTO, End-User Computing, VMware, in the press release.
The balancing act of enterprise data security and end-user privacy is one of the top concerns for today’s increasingly mobile businesses. On one hand, empowering workforce mobility with enterprise apps is proven to increase worker productivity (by nearly 40%, according to this report) and consequently drive business growth. On the other hand, as business-critical data moves outside the physical and virtual walls of the enterprise, the risk for enterprise data vulnerability increases exponentially. Surrounding both is the ever-present concern about end-user privacy, particularly in BYOD environments. The AirWatch Privacy First initiative was developed to help IT teams transform business mobility management from a balancing act to a mobile strategy purpose-built to empower productivity, security, innovation and growth.
