What’s next for Windows 10 in the enterprise?
Tuesday, Microsoft rolled out the Windows 10 Creators Update, which includes enhanced security features. Next on the agenda: Microsoft is testing the next major Windows 10 update due in 2017, Redstone 3.
Now, enterprise IT organizations can test such new builds of Windows 10 Enterprise. That’s because Microsoft also recently launched the Windows Insider Program for Business to accelerate enterprise adoption, reports InfoWorld.
Businesses have good reason to adopt Windows 10. Enterprises can save an estimated $515 per employee over three years, according to an updated analysis from Microsoft and Forrester.

Membership has grown from just four to 19 enterprise mobility management (EMM) providers and from 60 to 90 independent software vendors (ISVs). Learn more about what the Community has accomplished in the AppConfig Community Annual Report.
Here’s how you’ll spot the weakest link in your supply chain.
In the not-too-distant future, supply chain managers will quickly solve problems in the field—from transportation models to conveyor belts—without leaving the office. Researchers say augmented reality (AR) could save businesses big money by visualizing complex data right in front of managers’ eyes. Read about the possibilities in The Wall Street Journal.
Not every business is a digital business—yet.
Only about 5 percent of companies have digitally transformed, according to a new survey from Enterprise Strategy Group and Dell EMC. SiliconANGLE reports that 12 percent have not or have barely started transforming, and 83 percent still need to invest in or fully implement new technology.
The few that are digitally mature spend more on new projects than maintenance, see more cooperation in IT and are more likely to exceed revenue goals.
