A new report from Info-Tech Research, “Vendor Landscape: Cloud File Sharing,” has named AirWatch an “innovator.” The report analyzes 14 vendors in the cloud file sharing (CFS) industry, otherwise known as file sync and share. According to the report, “Innovators have demonstrated innovative product strengths that act as their competitive advantage in appealing to niche segments of the market.”

AirWatch also received the report’s Trend Setter Award. According to Info-Tech, “AirWatch is disrupting the CFS space by approaching it from a mobile device management (MDM) background.” Secure Content Locker is built on the same unified code base as all AirWatch EMM solutions, providing a seamless user experience across enterprise mobile apps, with security at the core. From a central console, administrators can manage all devices, applications and content within an enterprise environment. This approach helps enterprises keep track of their devices and their data all through a single pane of glass solution.

AirWatch Secure Content Locker also ranked third in overall value, with a score of 98 out of 100, and was also cited as an exemplary performer for two out of three scenarios that the report outlined: vendors that “excel at integrating with enterprise applications” and vendors that “provide above-par mobile content access and management solutions for on-the-go knowledge workers.” Secure Content Locker provides seamless integration across AirWatch solutions, as well as integration with more than 30 enterprise content repositories. By integrating existing file systems with Secure Content Locker, enterprises can distribute files from enterprise or cloud servers directly to user’s mobile devices.

According to the report, “Organizations needing best of breed mobile device management integration should consider AirWatch a frontrunner.”
