Watch what to expect at NRF’s 2015 Annual Convention & Expo

  • Lanier Norville By

Technology will take center stage at this year’s NRF Annual Convention & Expo. Nicknamed “Retail’s BIG Show,” the conference is known for its broad array of educational sessions – 300 are scheduled for the 2015 conference – and vast expo hall where more than 500 vendors exhibit retail-specific technology solutions. According to NRF, “It is truly one-stop-shopping for industry professionals from the around the world.”

In the following video, AirWatch Retail Sales Director and industry veteran Christian Conway shares what he’s looking forward to most and what you can expect from AirWatch at Retail’s BIG Show next January. (Read more below the video.)

Many of the keynote and breakout sessions at this year’s event will focus on mobility’s growing role in retail. In the keynote session “Digital Divide,” Deloitte Retail and Distribution Leader Alison Kenney Paul will join executives from JCPenney and GameStop on stage to discuss the profound influence of digital technologies on retail. According to recent research from Deloitte, digital technologies influence 36 percent of in-store retail sales, and this number will likely increase to 50 percent of in-store sales by year’s end. The speakers will address how retailers can bridge shoppers’ digital expectations with experiences retailers can realistically provide. The key, of course, lies in integrating technology into the brick-and-mortar experience.

Two education tracks, “Mobile Retailing” and “Technology Trends & Applications,” focus on mobile technology, and how it can drive engaging customer experiences and keep brick-and-mortar relevant.

Visit AirWatch in the expo hall at Booth 3235 and join us for a Big Ideas session about 2015 trends in retail technology at 11 a.m. Monday, January 12. To meet one-on-one with an AirWatch retail mobility specialist, schedule an appointment.
