Welcome to AirWatch Connect 2015. I’m Maddie Cook and this is your daily recap of AirWatch Connect Atlanta!

Today AirWatch Connect kicked-off for its fourth consecutive year. Attendees gathered for a full day of pre-event activities that included industry workshops, Customer Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and networking events among some of the industry’s most innovative and influential leaders.

At the Industry Workshops, IT leaders from Aviation, Education, Finance and Insurance, Government, Healthcare and Retail CPG industries participated in day-long programming focused on their vertical. EMM analysts from IDC, sales engineers and customers spoke to audiences about industry specific trends, customer use cases and the roadmap ahead for industry focused features. During the Q&A, attendees spoke candidly about their mobility deployments and asked AirWatch experts their advice, opinions and vision for the future of iOS, Android and Windows devices and software.

AirWatch product managers led the CAB meetings to gather thought leaders and discuss trends, challenges, initiatives and priorities shaping their organizations. AirWatch executives and product experts received valuable feedback from many customers on how to maintain valuable partnerships and stay ahead of the market with industry leading technology from AirWatch by VMware.

The networking event took place in the Mobility Expo where partners showcased and demoed their products. Also at the Mobility Expo, App Configuration for Enterprise (ACE) partners filled the ACE Pavilion and shared the ACE platform that embraces the new standard for configuring and securing enterprise applications. Attendees ended the day mingling with others at the Expo and preparing for the big week ahead.

On deck for tomorrow we will have John Marshall and Sanjay Poonen kicking it off with the opening keynote for the official first day of AirWatch Connect. The keynote begins at 9:30a and will be in the Centennial Ballroom. Other sessions to note for your schedule tomorrow include “Identity Management built for the Mobile Cloud Era” and “Enabling Office 365 with AirWatch.”
