Today is the last day of VMworld 2016 in Las Vegas, but before we wrap up the event, we’d like to take a look at just some of the buzz happening on Twitter. Here are 13 tweets for those of you who couldn’t be there or missed any of the epic presentations and interviews.

Do you know what VMware CEO Pat Gelsinger meant when he said, “What we’re building now is as transformative as the industrial age?” Watch the recap of Pat’s keynote here in case you missed it.

During his presentation, Pat talked about the VMware vision: any device, any application and any cloud.

What differentiates VMware from other companies? “We have fun. We’re a little edgy out there. We’re in your face. We want to compete. We want to win every deal,” Sanjay Poonen, executive vice president and general manager of VMware End-User Computing (EUC), told theCUBE live from VMworld.

During Sanjay’s keynote address, mobility and EUC blogger Jack Madden tweeted, “This is a fire hose of ‘look at all the EUC stuff we’ve done.’ It is indeed impressive.” Indeed, Jack!

Sanjay’s keynote was also part of this tech blogger’s sketchnotes for the day. Can you spot this fun mobile fact from Sanjay? “People pull their phones out of their pockets 90–100 times a day.”

Ruben Spruijt, CTO of Atlantis Computing, tweeted about the great mix of VMware technologies—TrustPoint, AirWatch, NSX, Identity Manager—integrated with Workspace ONE to secure the endpoint, the data and “me.” Read more about VMware’s new digital workspace technologies here.

After Sanjay Poonen’s keynote, Joe Chenevey, VMware business solutions architect, tweeted, “Workspace ONE is as simple and powerful to use as Spoonen demoed. Believe me as a VMware road warrior.” We believe you, Joe!

Mark Lockwood, research director at Gartner, tweeted this about the VMware Trustpoint endpoint visibility and threat detection solultion: “VMware and Tanium working together on TrustPoint—really big security win for VMware EUC.”

Desktop virtualization and mobility experts Gabe Knuth and Jack Madden blogged Sanjay’s EUC keynote live on Tuesday—in Google Docs! Our favorite line: “Starting off showing Workspace ONE on iOS, now going into Boxer email app. This is starting out to be much more mobile-centric than I had imagined it would be, so this is great.” We agree!

This VMware attendee tweeted praise for the EUC vision: “Credit where it’s due, VMware is truly leading the way with EUC. Very excited to see where this is going.” Read about the new VMware EUC technologies announced at VMworld here.

CEO Michael Dell made a VMworld appearance to talk about the future of Dell, EMC and VMware and tweeted, “Historic Dell and EMC transaction set to close on Sept. 7, 2016.”

On stage, Michael Dell said, “The open ecosystem of VMware is absolutely critical; we’re only going to continue to encourage that.”

We think this attendee’s tweet really says it all: “In case you haven’t noticed, this isn’t your father’s VMware any more. #ItsANewVMworld.”
